Luke Chapter 4 is a revelation of the Authority, Power and Truth of the living Word, Jesus Christ, as he first begins his ministry of Preaching and Healing. However, true to the prophesy made about Him, He divides his hearers into those with hearts ready to come to him, and those who, for all their knowledge of the written word of God, cannot hear the Incarnate Word when he declares truth to them. We are reminded not to confuse the sign with that which it signifies. The written word is testimony to the Living Word, who by the Spirit, reveals the Father to those with humble faith.
