Jesus in the Temple at age 12 already knew his spiritual identity as the Son of God. Yet he is also shown to us as the obedient son of Mary, Son of Man. We also share two natures, we are made partakers of the divine nature by being born again into Christ. This is our communion with God’s family, this is our belonging in the home of God, to be adopted brothers and sister of Christ. John 2: 41-52.
