Abraham lived by faith, the Book of Hebrews (and Genesis) tells us. Yet he died without ever seeing what he was hoping for. He lived as though this life was a very temporary thing, longing for a city, a country, in heaven. We too must have this attitude of looking past Death, beyond death as though it is merely a transformation, and place our hope in the Eternal City, the dwelling place of Christ and all the saints. Death is dead now, there is only Life and Hope for those with Faith.
