Redemption is a word we use sometimes. But do we really understand this Biblical motif? God has taken hold of suffering, of evil, of grief, of mourning, and has enslaved these things to his purposes, turning what was meant for evil toward our good and His glory. God does not will misfortune upon us, but is able to bring good out of it. This is the basis of our Hope, that while we bear our own crosses, it is not in vain. Matthew 16: 21-23.
