Summer Camps 2010
We’ve got another exciting line-up of camps for kids and families this summer! Some of the old favourites, and some new surprises as well. Read on and register now!
July 5-9: Outdoor Adventures
9:00-3:00, grades 1-5: $110
Together we’ll explore the Great Outdoors, doing some light hiking, learning how to read maps and set up tents, discovering about how things grow and live together in nature, and we’ll cap it all off with a Thursday night overnight campout with our parents and leaders at Goldstream Park. It was a big hit last year – don’t miss out on the fun this time!
July 12-16: Hawaiian Adventure—Fun with water & sand
9:00-11:30, ages 3-5 years: $40
Five mornings of adventures, exploring Bible stories that take place by the sea, playing games with water and sand, and making fun crafts that celebrate everything about the beach and playing with our friends.
July 19-23: Vacation Bible School—“Hero Headquarters: Where kids join forces with God!”
9:00-noon, ages 3 years through grade 5: $30 for the first child, $15 for the next 2, maximum charge $60 per family
The real heroes of the Bible—or of real life—aren’t necessarily the ones whose names we all know. In fact, the stories of some of the biggest heroes don’t even tell us their names. We all become heroes as we join forces with God in sharing his love with others. Come join the adventure at HQ this week as we play, create, share snacks and learn together!
July 26-30: Tiny Tots Theatre—Music & Drama
9:00-11:30, ages 3-5 years: $40
We’ll learn about—and create together—fun instruments, and we’ll learn how to use our imaginations to play and act. A full week of mornings dedicated to fun and creative play as we use the gifts God has given us to make beautiful moments.
August 3-6: How Things Work
9:00-11:30, ages 4-6 years: $32
Our world is full of science, and during this week we’re going to dig deeper into the science of plants, animals, earth and humans. Science games, crafts, activities, unstructured playtime and experiments will take place throughout the week. Be on the lookout for the “Friendly Mad Scientist” who visits daily!!
August 9-13: Nature World
9:00-11:30, ages 3-5 years: $40
God made the earth, the skies, the ocean, plants, animals, and people! Learn all about God’s creation as we make our way through the creation story throughout the week. Crafts, games, activities, snacks and lots of unstructured play will be the focus of this week.
August 20-22: Family Adventure Camp!
Friday through Sunday, for families of all ages and sizes! Cost: $30/family. Location: Stoltz Pools on the Cowichan River.
Don’t miss this opportunity to share the adventure with the whole family—and with other families of all shapes and sizes! Organisers will be planning games and activities for all interests and abilities. Space is limited in the group campsite we’ve booked, so register early—and consider being part of the planning team!
